A good way to increase your page rank

As you all know page rank is decided by the number of back links to your web page, but this is not the only way page rank is measured the search engine bot checks the relevancy of the link by checking the text around the link with the stuff that is on your web page(i.e., stuff like the contents of your web page, keywords, etc.,) if it finds that it is not a relevant link then it treats the link as a paid link(i.e., a link that has been created just because you have paid the other website to do so) and then decreases the page rank of both these page(the linked page and the one with the link).Google advices to use nofollow attribute in the link tag in case you are providing a paid link service to avoid any such action from the search engine.

Another way to increase page rank is by contributing something to the web community for placing a link to your web page for letting them use your content, foe example develop a simple java script code that can be used to play some music or do some thing usefull ( i mean create a widget) and place a link bellow the widget or create a blogger template and place a link to your webpage at the end of the template with a text which says something like for more templates and cool looking themes visit XYZ.com/downloads.html and don't use nofollow attribute here as you are doing nothing wrong here and don't forget that the landing page of the link must contain some thing related to the text you have specified don't you worry about your home pages rank you just add a one way link from downloads.html to your home page with some relevant text.
